LaWanna Kay Edwards, 73 of Ironton, OH passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She was born December 2, 1944 in Lawrence County, OH a daughter of the late Warren and Marie Chinn McGuire. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Edwards, a brother, Steve McGuire; and a twin brother, Kenny McGuire. She was a member of Sybene Missionary Baptist Church. LaWanna is survived by two children, Tim (Sara) Edwards of Ironton, OH and Mark (Becky) Edwards of Chesapeake, OH; 7 grandchildren, Casey Edwards, MaKayla Edwards, Austin Edwards, Cory Edwards, Chase Edwards, Olivia Edwards and Silas Edwards; and two great grandchildren, Lennon and Kaylee. Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Tom Swartzwelder officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH. Friends may visit from 12 PM to 1 PM before the service at the funeral home.
