BILLY RAYMOND BUTCHER, 73, of South Point, OH went home to be with his Jesus on Saturday, March 17, 2012. Billy was a loving husband, father and grandfather (Zacky) who loved being a part of his church. He especially loved being an usher at the church, picnics with his family, and working on his yard. A memorial will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 21 at Apostolic Life Cathedral, Huntington, WV with Pastor E. S. Harper officiating. Billy was born at home in South Point, OH, the son of the late Lewis Martin (L. M.) and Gladys (Toney) Butcher and was the former owner of Chesapeake Auto Parts. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Julia Ann Ward Butcher of South Point, OH; daughter Lisa (Thomas) Cantrell of South Point; son Billy (Tonya) Butcher of Evansville, IN; six grandchildren, Brian Douglas, Joshua, Alaina, and Ava Cantrell, Rian (Jessica) and Billy Butcher; two loving sisters, Linda (Dave) Lester and Ruth Mays; and a host of family and friends. Friends may call from 5:00 to 6:00 pm on Wednesday at Apostolic Life Cathedral. Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point is in charge of arrangements and is honored to have been chosen to serve the Butcher family.
