    ACY KNIPP, 86, of Ironton, Ohio died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland KY. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Elders Leonard Napier, Gary Blevins, and Jimmy Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Roar Cemetery, Grahn, KY. He was born May 9, 1925 in Grahn, Carter County, KY, a son of the late James Harrison Knipp and Nancy Elizabeth Barker Knipp. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Castle Knipp; brothers and sisters Ethel Knipp, Paul Knipp, Edith Knipp, Ruth Bledsoe, Esther Knipp, Thurman Knipp, Lawrence Knipp, Ellen Bryant, Richard Knipp; and sons Philip Knipp and Jerry Klaiber. Acy was a 38 year employee of the Dayton Malleable Iron Company, a member of the South Fork Old Regular Baptist Church, and was an ordained Deacon. He is survived by his wife Betty Gibson Klaiber Knipp; five sons, Roger Knipp of Murfreesboro, TN, Richard (Janie) Knipp of Ironton, OH, Timothy (Sherry) Knipp of Summitt, KY, Charles (Helen) Klaiber of Ironton, OH, Billie (Tana) Klaiber of Ironton, OH; two daughters-in law, Patricia Klaiber of Ironton, OH, Debbie Knipp of Cannonsburg, KY; two daughters, Connie Payne of Flatwoods, KY, Debbie (Rick) Perkins of Ironton, OH; nineteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Billie L. (Kay) Gibson; three sisters-in-law, Gladys Keeney, Olive Brammer, and Jessie Gibson; and a group of loving brothers and sisters from the church.
