Jean Marie Stevens, 76, of South Point, Ohio, went to be with Lord, Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Heartland of Riverview, South Point, Ohio. Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Chuck Price officiating. Burial will follow in Luther Bowen Cemetery, Lavalette, WV. Jean was born March 6, 1936 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Richard Boltz Stevens, Sr. and Thelma Elizabeth Roy Stevens. Jean was retired from C &P Telephone Company as on operator. She is survived by one brother Richard B. (Joyce) Stevens, Jr. of South Point, OH; one sister, Ann F. Heldman of Mooresville, NC; three nieces Linda (Rick) Bashaw, Judy Heldman and Deborah Stevens; one nephew, Michael T. Stevens and; a great nephew Bryce Stevens; and several great nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call 6 to 8 PM Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home.
