DENNIS W. CHRISTIAN, 74 of South Point, OH died Sunday, October 28, 2012 at River’s Bend Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, November 2, 2012 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Pastor Jack Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow at Linville Cemetery. Dennis was born on Greasy Ridge, in Lawrence County, a son of the late Roscoe Christian and Arzenia Capper Christian. He attended the Lorain Street Mission in Ironton, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Smith; an infant daughter; and four brothers, Cloyd, Lee, Garland and David Christian. He is survived by his companion and caregiver, Mary Rutherford; three daughters, Tammy Rowe, Brenda Grimmett and Teressa Harrison; three sisters, Betty Caudill, Nancy Velardocchia and Evelyn Giles; one brother, Jerry Christian; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
