ROGER ACY KNIPP, 65, of Murfreesboro, TN, died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Gary Blevins, Paul Boggs and Jimmy Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Roar Cemetery, Grahn, KY. Roger was born December 16, 1946 in Ashland, KY, a son of the late Acy and Ruby Castle Knipp. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Philip Knipp. He is survived by three children, Teresa (Tony) Fultz of Morehead, KY, Larry Knipp of Olive Hill, KY and Carolyn (Robert) Sanders of Olive Hill, KY; one sister, Connie Payne of Flatwoods, KY; two brothers, Richard (Janie) Knipp of Ironton, OH and Timothy W. (Sherry) Knipp of Summit, KY; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; special friend and caregiver, Becky Jordan of Alabama; step mother, Betty Knipp of Ironton, OH; and special songwriter and friend Pete Gobel of Detroit, MI.
