Eunice I. Terry

Eunice Irene “June” Sparling Terry, 92, of Ironton, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012, at Jo-Lin Health Center. Born in Deering, Ohio, on May 4, 1920, Mrs. Terry was the daughter of the Henry T. and Rosa (Martin) Sparling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur M. Terry; her sister, Mabel Smith; and two brothers, Clifford and Gaylen Sparling.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Warren L. and Joan E. Terry of Ironton; two grandchildren, Lynn M. Cox (Ronald) of Cumberland, Ky., and Robert P. Terry (Candace) of Indialantic, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Lainey Cox, Jessica Terry, and Jennifer Terry; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Terry was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She attended Deering Schools and was a longtime member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home in South Point, Ohio, officiated by Mr. Larry Pennington. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point. Condolences may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
