John Arthur McKnight, 48, of Coal Grove, Ohio died in his home Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, Ohio, with Pastor Tim Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Zoar Cemetery, Coal Grove, Ohio. John is survived by his children, Ashley and husband Josh Kitchen of Ashland, KY and Courtney McCabe and two grandchildren of Ironton, Ohio. John graduated from Dawson-Bryant High School, Class of 1982 and lived in Deering, Ohio his entire life. John was the eldest son of Johnny H. and Carolyn McKnight of Coal Grove, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his loving father and grandparents. He leaves behind a brother Larry McKnight and sister, Jodi McKnight Delawder as well as three nieces Hollie, Hannah and Heather Bowman. He also leaves behind numerous friends and family who will deeply miss him, his laughs and his kindness. Friends may call Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home.
