Bobby Gene Johnson, 75, of South Point, Ohio passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, Ohio with Pastor Jack Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Bobby was born October 12, 1937 in Lawrence County, Ohio, a son of the late Ulysses and Goldie Brown Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Johnson. Bobby retired from Amcast formerly Dayton Malleable Iron Company after 45 years and was a loving husband, father and papaw. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margaret Love Johnson; four children, Bertha (James) Allen of Florida, Debra (David) Baxley of North Carolina, Tina (Marcel) Layne and Jeff (Sarah) Johnson all of South Point, Ohio; one sister, Ellen Stevens of Ironton, Ohio; two brothers, Ronald and Louis Johnson of South Point, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
