Jack William Hale, 86, of Ironton, OH went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Sunset Nursing Center, Coal Grove, OH. Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday, March 11, 2013 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Rob Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery North East, Argillite, KY with military graveside services by Ironton VFW Post 8850. Jack was born January 15, 1927 in Ashland, KY, a son of the late William and Minnie Louise Church Hale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Hale, Billy Hale and Richard Hale; one son, William Fullerton; one grandson, David Fullerton; and one great grandson, Scotty Seagraves. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in WWII and worked as a crane operator for Mansbach Metals, Ashland, KY. He enjoyed attending church, playing guitar, gardening and bowling. Jack is survived by his wife, Anna E. “Libby” Fullerton Hale; one son, Jack D. (Brenda) Hale of South Point, OH; three daughters, Mary Boudreaux of Nederland, TX, Pamela (Kevin) Holmes of Forestdale, OH and Bonnie (Jay) Chapman of Ironton, OH; one sister, Mary Letsche of South Point, OH; two brothers, Robert (Phyllis) Hale and Fred (Linda) Hale, all of South Point, OH; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Friends may call Monday from 11 AM to 1 PM at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home. The family would like to express a special thank you to all of Jack’s “buddies” and “baby dolls” at Sunset Nursing Center for their love and wonderful care.
