    Kermit Crum, 81, of Ironton, OH passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 in Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, KY. Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Bill Chatterton officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, OH. Kermit was born March 23, 1931 in Inez, KY, a son of the late Norvin “Boy” and Angeline Pack Crum. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Garnett Crum; 1 son, Virgil Lee Crum; 3 sisters, Glady Cline, Jean Watson and Hazel Moreheart; and 2 brothers, Maxwell and Lewis Crum. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War a member of Honor Guard VFW Post 8850 and retired from Amcast as an Ironworker. Kermit is survived by his wife, Janice Crum; 4 children, Joanne “JoJo” (Rick) Ahern of Delaware, Peggy Jean (Randy) Harmon of Coal Grove, OH, Doris Ellen (Steve) Music and Margaret Tabitha Crum all of South Point, OH; 2 step children, Vicki and Terry Unrue of Ironton, OH; 4 brothers, William “Bill” Crum of Inez, KY, Mitchell Crum of Union City, OH, Dennis and Kelly Crum of Inez, KY; 5 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers-in-law John Wilson and Gary (Carol) Wilson all of Ironton, OH; and 2 sisters-in-law, Connie (Hobert) Lake and Brenda (Jimmy) Collingsworth all of Ironton, OH.
