Elizabeth Marcum

Elizabeth Marcum, 71, of South Point, OH died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Emogene Dolen Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She was born February 3, 1942 in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late Allen Stroud and Brookie Parsley Stroud. She was retired from Merck-Medco in Columbus, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Olive Maynard Sutherland and her husbands, Jay Maynard and Howard Sutherland, Edna Mae (Perry) Mills and her husband, Henry Perry and Lauri Wallace; two brothers, Wayne Stroud and his wives Sarah Stroud and Jessie Mae Stroud and Orville Stroud; and two other brothers-in-law, Arnold Wallace and Liss Dillon. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn (Michael) Anderson of Whitsett, NC; a son, Marty Lee (Bunny) Marcum of Defiance, OH; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Genieve Wallace of West Palm Beach, FL, Marie Dillon of Cookville, TN and Ollie (Eva) Smith and husband Robert of Somerset, KY; a brother, James (Betty) Stroud of Frankfort, OH a brother-in-law, Boyd Mills; a sister-in-law, Hazel Stroud of Grayson, KY; many beloved nieces and nephews and also many brothers and sisters in Christ. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the South Point Church of Christ with Mark Aites officiating.
