    Billy Joe “Bill” Cremeans, age 71, of South Point, Ohio, died June 8, 2013 due to injuries received in an auto accident. Bill was born and raised near the community of Salt Rock in Cabell County, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Joseph Lenville and Esther Jewel Cremeans. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 17 years, Barbara Cremeans, and his wife of 27 years, Patsy Cremeans. He was the long-time owner and operator of B&P Transmission in South Point, OH.
    Bill is survived by four siblings: Ellen Row, Chillicothe, OH; Lanny Cremeans, Salt Rock, WV; Jeannie Garrido, Huntington, WV; and Paul “Bink” Cremeans, Chesapeake, OH.
    Bill is also survived by one son, Brian Joe Cremeans, Commerce, GA, and three step-sons: Barry Hurula, Texarkana, TX, Keith Hurula, Proctorville, OH, and Ross Hurula, Texarkana, TX., as well as 5 grandchildren and one great-grand child.
    Bill served in the US Army during the Vietnam era and was an active member of the American Legion. He was a gifted mechanic and Harley-Davidson enthusiast who enjoyed riding with his wife and friends.

    A memorial service is planned for Sunday, August 18th, 2013 in the chapel of Slack & Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH. Visitation begins at 2pm and service at 3pm with Pastor Larry Perry officiating. A private graveside interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will then be in residence at the Cremeans home, 609 Second Street East in South Point, to receive visitors until 8pm.
