Joyce Louene Carnes

Joyce Louene Carnes, 71, of South Point, OH died Saturday, May 18, 2019 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center, Ashland, KY.  She was born May 28, 1947 in Lawrence County, OH, a daughter of the late Gleo Runyon and Virginia Osborne Runyon.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Violet Fraser, and three brothers, Grady Runyon, Gleo Runyon and Leo Runyon.  Joyce loved gardening, planting vegetables and canning.  She loved to cook and feed her family and friends, and loved watching birds.  She is survived by her husband, Albert Merrill Carnes; three daughters, Thomasina Carnes Kinney, Jessica Carnes and Michelle Berkley; two sisters, Phyllis Williams and Connie Fulk; three brothers, Lowell Runyon, Terry Runyon and Shane Runyon; seven grandchildren, Brent Lee Blevins, Carla Spurlock, Dale Edward Albert Kinney, Daniel Albert Spurlock, Sarah Spurlock, Cheyanne Lawson and Cody Berkley; and eleven great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Rev.
