Maybelle Kiger

Maybelle Kiger, 62, of Huntington, WV passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV.  Maybelle was born May 25, 1956 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late James “Bud” and Anna Bell Lucas Short.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Kraig Kiger; and a brother and sister in law, Jim and Jean Short.  Maybelle was a member of Huntington Christian Church and a 1974 graduate of Vinson High School.  She worked as an Administrative Assistant for David Given Real Estate.  She is survived by two daughters, Angi Strickland and Mary Ann Kiger both of Huntington, WV; a brother, Keith (Aleta) Short of Murrell’s Inlet, SC; one grandchild, who was her pride and joy, Alex Strickland of Huntington, WV; and her best friend, Diane Runyon of South Point, OH.  Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, May 24, 2019 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Jeff Wickert officiating.  Friends may visit 6 to 8 PM, Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home.   In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
