Mary Margaret “Peggy” Hilton, 86, of Ironton passed from this life to the next on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born September 3, 1926 in Gassaway, WV to James Dyer and Gussie Baker Calfee.
Peggy is survived by a daughter, Lisa Webb of Knoxville, TN and a son, Lon Hilton of Ironton; two granddaughters, Erica Blankenship of Sumter, SC and Marlee Slack of Chesapeake; three grandsons, Nate Webb and Ben Webb, both of Knoxville, TN and Jacob Hilton of Ironton; one great grandson, Sawyer Slack of Chesapeake; one great granddaughter, Ava Blankenship of Sumter, SC; one brother, William Calfee of Wytheville, VA; and three sisters, Fannie Rutherford of Roanoke, VA, Virginia Carter of Flatwoods, KY and Anne Kessinger of Athens, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Hilton; infant son, Jeffrey Alan Hilton; three sisters, Merle Robinette, Sadie Shumate and Jean Calfee; and two brothers, Robert Calfee and Jack Calfee.
Funeral services will be at Noon Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Ironton with Rev. Jan Williams officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 AM until service time.
