Claude Marcum, Jr.

January 7, 1957 - March 1, 2018

Claude Marcum, Jr., 61 of South Point, OH passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at KDMC, Ashland, KY.  Claude was born January 7, 1957 in Williamson, WV, the son of the late Claude and Sena Newsome Marcum.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ira Lee Marcum; sisters, Nellie Harmon, Lillie Sheppard;  brothers, Rodrick Marcum, Robert Marcum and Willis Marcum.  Claude is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Dreama Dean Marcum of South Point, OH; his son, Rodrick (Tracy) Marcum of Prichard, WV; his  daughter, Melissa (Jesse) Marcum of South Point, OH; seven grandchildren, Jordan, Sean, Jacob, Rod Jr., Emily, Matthew, and Sofia; two great grandchildren, Sena and Owen; sisters, Laura Boney of Delaware, Geraldine Mahone of Logan, WV, Judy Nelson of Logan, WV; brothers, Colby Marcum of Logan, WV, Donald Marcum and Timmy Marcum both of South Point, OH and Billy Marcum of Logan, WV, along with many nieces and nephews.  Family visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2018 at 1 PM at Community Missionary Baptist Church in Coal Grove, OH.  Funeral Services will follow at 2 PM with Pastor Phillip Ruark officiating.  Burial will follow at Community Cemetery, Coal Grove, OH.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
