    Gary Gene Taylor, 82, of South Point, OH died Monday, March 12, 2018 at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, KY.  He was born December 30, 1935 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Eugene and Roma Imogene Staley Taylor.  He was a division manager at Sears for 20 + years and served in the Army Reserves. Gary was a member of South Point Christian Church 50 + years, a member of the singing KY Colonels and sang with various gospel groups and Barbershop Quartets.  He is survived by his wife, Melba Jean Bullard Taylor; two children, Jeffrey Lee (Sheila Kay) Taylor of Ashland, KY and Bradley Keith (Dreama Carol) Taylor of Ashland, KY; two sisters-in-law, Dee Bullard of Atlanta, GA and Judy L. Thomas of Greenup, KY; three grandchildren, Erica (Brad) Miller, Zac (Jamie) Taylor and Callie Taylor; and two great grandchildren, Reagan Miller and Canyon Miller.  Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH with Jerry Greenslait officiating.   Friends may call one hour prior to the graveside service at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, is assisting the family with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
