Carol Faye Fairchild

April 7, 1939 - April 14, 2018

Carol Faye Fairchild, 79, of South Point, OH passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, KY.  Carol was born April 7, 1939 in Ironton, OH a daughter of the late Frank and Beatrice Johnson Carpenter.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Harold “Bub” Carpenter; a sister, Judy Belcher and maternal grandmother, Bessie Johnson.  Carol was a graduate of Coal Grove High School and worked as a secretary at Gibbs Hardware, Ashland, KY for many years.  She is survived by her loving husband, Phillip Fairchild; two children, Greg (Sally) Fairchild of South Point, OH, Wade (Lorinda) Fairchild of Olive Hill, KY; five grandchildren, Stephen (Haley Chambers) Fairchild, Mason Fairchild, Christopher Fairchild, Kyle Matthew Kiser, Kory Marshall Kiser and two great grandchildren, Lindsay Fairchild and Camden Fairchild.  Funeral Services will be 1 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Clp. Carson Hunt officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.  Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
