John A. “Johnnie” Bradley, 85, of Chesapeake, OH went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. He was born September 21, 1932 in Huntington, WV, son of the late Bert C. “Shade” and Susan G. Hagerman Bradley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Joe Bradley; sister and brother in-law, Peggy Sue and John Huddleston; sister and brother in-law, Betty Bradley and “Allie” LeClaire; a niece, Pamela Sue Huddleston and grandson in-law, CW2 Tuc Church. Johnnie retired from PennCo as a Truck Driver. He also formerly worked at the Cannelton, WV Mine. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Lewis Bradley; his children, Marcinda (Paul) Mers of Chesapeake, OH; Johnna R. (Dan) Culver of Chesapeake, OH; children of the heart, Debbie and Charlie Davis of Ashland, KY; nieces, Theresa (Mike) Adkins Miller, Donna (Danny) Newman and Brenda (John) LaFon all of Chesapeake, OH; grandchildren, Mariesha Watters, M. Renee Culver, Mindi (Kai) Church-Newell, Jessica (Brad) Clark, Lauren Culver, Dave (Sandy) Mers, Mike (Roslyn) Mers, Mark Mers; great grandchildren, Maryn Church, Dorian Church, Jasper Clark, Cora Clark, Scarlett Mers and Lincoln Mers. Funeral services will be 7 PM Friday, June 1, 2018 at Apostolic Life Cathedral, 350 Staunton Street, Huntington, WV with Bishop Edwin Harper officiating. Burial will be at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Friends may call from 4 PM – 7 PM at the Church. Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
