Orville Collins

Orville Collins, 78, of Ironton, OH went home to be with his Lord, Sunday, June 24, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Ironton, OH.  He was born March 31, 1940 in Lawrence County, OH, son of the late Alva and Lottie Harman Collins.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Faulkner Collins; a son, Danny Collins and eight brothers and sister.  Orville loved and cared for his family very deeply.  He attended many churches, enjoyed music and working for the Lord.  He ministered to many nursing homes with his music.  Orville is survived by his six children, Ray (Sheila) Collins of South Point, OH, Rick Collins of Rock Hill, OH, Terry (Sherry) Collins of South Point, OH, Tammy Riggs of Ironton, OH, Debra (Jerry) Burton of Ironton, OH and Jeffrey Collins of South Point, OH; a sister, Shirley White; a brother, Carl Collins; daughter-in-law, Tammy Collins; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and a special friend, Mary McGlone.  Funeral Service will be 1 PM Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH.  Burial will follow at Zoar Cemetery, Coal Grove, OH.  Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
