Betty C. Butcher

July 19, 1927 - June 29, 2018

Betty Christine Butcher, 90, of South Point, OH passed away Thursday, June 29, 2018 at home.  She was born July 19, 1927 in Chesapeake, OH, daughter of the late Chris and Hilda Rogers Chafin.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Butcher; two sisters, Virginia Chafin and Eva Suffron and a brother, Chris Chafin.  Betty is survived by her two sons, Joe Butcher and Paul (Melany) Butcher; seven grandchildren, Joe Martin Butcher, Ginny Morrison, Josh Butcher, Jake Butcher, Kyle Butcher, Nancy Blankenship, and Susan Sadler; 14 great grandchildren; two very dear nieces, Sandy Light and Karen Turley; and dear friends, Ann and Rudolph Webb, Barbara Cyrus, Don and Patty Spotloe and Ed and Marybeth Snavely.    Funeral Service will be 12 PM Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Doris Webb officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH.  Friends may visit one prior to the service at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
