Jarvie Howard

May 22, 1936 - July 10, 2016

Jarvie Howard, 80, of South Point, OH, went to be with his Lord with his family present after a long battle with illness on July 10, 2016. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Rose Hill Burial Park, Ashland, KY with Rev. Paul Toney officiating.  Jarvie was born May 22, 1936 in Magoffin County, KY a son of the late John and Monte Castle Howard.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Matthew; brothers, Johnny, Eligh, James; sister Lorann; and step daughter, Kimberly.  He was very proud of his 32^nd degree with the Masons.  He was a loving simple man who enjoyed camping, fishing, walking his dogs, baseball and being with his family.   Jarvie is survived by his wife, Ronda Fennell Howard; sons and daughters, Kathy, April, Rachel, Leah, Donna, Steve, Laura, Jerry and Darrell; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
