Fredrick "Fred" McClure

September 19, 1935 - July 18, 2016

Fredrick “Fred” K, McClure, 80, of South Point, OH passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at Community Hospice, Ashland, KY.  Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, July 22, 2016 at Solida Baptist Church, South Point, OH with Pastor Aaron Childers officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH.  Fred was born September 19, 1935 in South Point, OH, a son of the late James and Myrtle Bayes McClure.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Dawn Craft; one brother, Harley McClure; two sisters, Judy Suiter and Dottie Elkins; three half-sisters, Katherine McGinnis, Betty Salisbury and Jimmaele Beam; and two half-brothers, Clifford Stanley and Raymond Stanley.  Fred is survived by his wife of 56 years, Annie Callender McClure; 5 children, Terri Anne (Greg) Brooks, Kathy Lee (Mark) Sammons, Eddie Darrin (Sue) McClure and Cheyenne (Tim) Meadows; son-in-law, Pat Craft;  a sister, Patty (Richard) Nelson;  half-sisters, Ruth Wilson, Faye Davidson; half-brother, James Slitz (Jane) McClure; sister-in-law, Eleanor McClure; Brother-in-law, Bill Suiter; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.   Friends may call from 6 to 9 PM Thursday at Solida Baptist Church.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences to the family may be express at www.slackandwallace.com.
