Woodrow Spillman

December 11, 1935 - September 25, 2016

Woodrow Spillman, Jr., 80 of Ironton, OH passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, KY.  Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Ironton City Mission Church with Tom Lawson and James Cremeans officiating.  Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens, Russell, KY.  Woodrow was born December 11, 1935 in Lawrence County, OH, a son of the late Woodrow Spillman, Sr. and Margaret Davis Spillman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Thomas Spillman, David Spillman and Eugene Spillman; infant sister, Emma Jean; brothers-in-law, Millard Russell and Dave Akers; and sisters-in-law, Loretta Spillman, Imogene Spillman and Diane Spillman.  Survivors include his wife, Juanita Compton Spillman; 2 sons, Randy Spillman and Brent Spillman; 5 sisters, Mary Russell of Ironton, Donna (Frank) Stephenson of Ironton and Rhoda (Tom) Lawson of Flatwoods, KY, Rosie (Bill Hanshaw) Akers of Powellsville, OH and Ruth (Rick) Picklesimer of South Point, OH; 3 brothers, Donald Spillman of South Point, John (Karen) Spillman of South Point and Ronald (Phyllis) Spillman of Ironton; 2 grandchildren, John Woodrow Spillman and Amanda Spillman Hatfield; and 6 great grandchildren.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
