Dorothy Carolyn Rickman

Dorothy Carolyn Rickman, 63, of Ceredo, WV passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH with Pastor Paul Bartrum officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Burlington, OH.  Dorothy was born February 23, 1953 in Kentucky, a daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Crum Adkins.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Deanna and Dianna Adkins and Andrea McSorley; and 2 brothers, Gene Adkins and Charles Adkins.  Survivors include her children, Misty (Jeff) Mink of Lavalette, WV, John (Rhonda) Rickman of Lavalette and Billy (Tina) Rickman of Ceredo; 3 sisters, Cathy (Dave) Shumaker of Ferndale, MI, Debbie Short of Bryan, TX and Tammy Murphy of Bryan, TX; 6 brothers, Don (Susan) Adkins of MI, Arnold (Barb) Adkins of Ceredo, Lonnie (Cynthia) Adkins of East Lynn, WV, Montie Adkins of Ceredo, Robert (Tina) Adkins of Ceredo and Walt (Vickie) Adkins of Ceredo; 5 grandchildren, Ashton (Paula) Rickman, Cassie (Kyle) Crum, Devon Rickman, Austin Mink and Demi Rickman; and 1 great granddaughter, Kylie Crum.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
