Wanda June Waugh

June 21, 1926 - November 6, 2016

Wanda June Bowles Waugh, 90, of Chesapeake, OH went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at home.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH with Pastor Nathan McClay officiating.  Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park.  Wanda was born June 21, 1926 in Ona, WV, the daughter of the late Samuel and Alma Mullins Bowles.  She was retired from Fruth Pharmacy and JoAnn Fabrics.  She was a creative soul that found a project and purpose for everything in her life.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Samuel Bowles, Jr. and William Bowles and her husband of 58 years, Elton Waugh.  Wanda is survived by 3 daughters, Linda (Don) Myers of Wasilla, Alaska, Brenda (Roy) Heffner of Chesapeake, OH and Kim Waugh McQuaid of Chesapeake, OH; 1 son, Jeff Waugh of Chesapeake, OH; her grandchildren, Mike (Angie) Myers, Cathy (Ray) Burns, James McQuaid, Jenelle (Brett) Napier and JB Waugh; 11 great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Hospice of Huntington.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
