Gerald D. Dalton, Sr.

July 6, 1946 - December 10, 2016

Gerald Dean Dalton, Sr., 70 of South Point, OH passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV.  He was born July 6, 1946 in Catlettsburg, KY, a son of the late Walter and Jesse Prince Dalton.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gerald D. Dalton, Jr.; two brothers, Bill Dalton and Jeff Dalton; and two sisters, Nora Dalton and Patricia Ratliff.  Gerald was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Huntington, WV.  He was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam era and was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator with AK Steel Coke Plant, Ashland, KY.  He is survived by his wife, Alida Mae Jackson Dalton; his daughter, Christina Dalton; a sister, Betty Clark; a brother, Michael Dalton; and a grandson, Denzel Dalton.  Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 150 Wood Lane, Huntington, WV with Denver Majher officiating.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
