Mary Frances Byrd

June 19, 1938 - December 16, 2016

Mary Frances Byrd, 78 of South Point, OH went to be with the Lord, Friday, December 16, 2016 at her home.  She was born June 19, 1938 in Ashland, KY, a daughter of the late Alexander and Bertha Dunfee Bess.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Edward Caudill; a daughter, Debra Caudill; a sister, Nancy Bess; and two brothers, Wallace Bess and Lyle Bess.  Mary was a loving mother and grandmother.  She was a member and the secretary of 1^st Southern Baptist Church, South Point, OH.  She is survived by her children, Sheryl Forrest and Ronald Gayheart, Jr.; four grandchildren, Billy Forrest, Alex Gayheart, Sarah Gayheart and Jessica Forrest; and one great grandchild, Nora Gayheart.  Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Paul Michael Booth officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Ashland, KY.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
