    Hazel J. (Betty) Wilson, 76, of South Point, Ohio, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, the 28th of December 2016 at her residence after an extended illness.  Hazel was born October 4th 1940 in Pikeville, Kentucky.  She was a homemaker and a devout Christian.  She was a daughter to the late James and Minnie Harrington Mulkey.

    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Joe Wilson, and sisters, Marie Wilson, Lyzzie Blankenship, JoAnne Hensley, and Aileen Little.  She is survived by two brothers Dennis Mulkey of Youngstown, Ohio, Newt Mulkey of Coal Grove, Ohio and a sister, Ruth White of Youngstown, Ohio; 5 children, Roy (Laura) Wilson of South Point, Ohio, Dennis (Brenda) Wilson of Midway, Georgia, Catherine (Robert) Ross of Kenova, West Virginia, Karen (James) Wood of South Point, Ohio and Roger (Patricia) Wilson of South Point, Ohio.  Grandchildren include Jacqueline Henry, Kevin Wilson, Jessica Salyers, Stacie Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Jessica Wilson, Justin Wood and Austin Wood.  Hazel was blessed with 6 great grandchildren.

    Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday, December 30th at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, Ohio.  The service will be Noon, Saturday, December 31st at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Morrison officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, Ohio.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
