Bonnie D. West, 79 of South Point, OH passed away January 28, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH.  She was born December 15, 1937 in Goody, KY a daughter of the late Ervin and Mary Edith McCoy Staton.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Summers.  Bonnie was a charter member of 1^st Southern Baptist Church where she was the organist for many years.  She served her church and her Lord faithfully all her life.  She is survived by her husband, Ronald West; two children, Danny L. (Billie) West of Louisa, KY and Dale (Sandi) West of South Point, OH; a sister, Sylvia Bailey of South Point, OH; 7 grandchildren, Casey West, Lauren Summers, Joel West, Rachel Patton, Christy Curnutte, Angel Derifield and Nicole West Terry; and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 1 PM Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 1^st Southern Baptist Church, South Point, OH with Pastor Paul Michael Booth officiating.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the church.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
