Antonita Bocook

Antonita “Toni” Bocook, 85, of Burrton, KS, formerly of South Point, OH died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Diversicare of Hutchinson, KS.  She was born January 5, 1932 at Red Jacket, West Virginia to Eladio and Bessie (Castle) Fernandez de Alvarez.  On May 27, 1956 she married Clarence Raymond “Ray” Bocook at South Point, Ohio.  He survives and is of Hutchinson, KS. Other survivors include a son: Chris (Michele) Bocook of Burrton; daughter: Raenita (Derrick) Unruh, of Burrton; sisters: Julia and Josephine Fernandez de Alvarez of Madrid, Spain; and two granddaughters; Kristin and Kayla Unruh of Hutchinson, KS.  She was preceded in death by a stillborn infant twin daughter, Krista Rae.  Friends may call from 3:00-8:00 p.m. the family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead, KS.  Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 18 at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH.  Memorials may be given to Burrton Fire/E.M.S in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead, KS.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point is assisting the family with local arrangements.
