Ebalene Pennington, 69 of South Point, OH, formerly of Paintsville, KY passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV.  She was born February 20, 1947 in Paintsville, KY.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Joe Pennington.  Ebalene was a former employee of Shatter Proof Glass Co., Detroit, MI where she was a union representative for workers.  She was also attended Tri-State Worship Center, South Point, OH.  She is survived by 3 children, Larry (Ashley) Pennington, Joey (Mary Pat Conley) Pennington and Alena (Charlie Banks) Pennington; a sister, Annette Turner; two brothers, John Joe Turner and Sterling Francis; 7 grandchildren, T.J. Pennington, Jessica Pennington, Mary J. McComas, Megan McDonald, Matthew Dean Pennington, Johnathan McDonald and Kortney Curry; and 5 great grandchildren, Gage Pennington, Chloe Howard, Layla McComas , Adam McComas and Leland McDonald.   Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Wagner officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
