Norma Jeffries

December 8, 1928 - March 1, 2017

Norma Jeffries, 88, of Chesapeake, OH, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Crystal Care of Coal Grove.  She was born December 8, 1928 at Chesapeake, OH, a daughter of the late Floyd Bridgeman and Mae Elizabeth Nichols Bridgeman.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Damon W. “Jeff” Jeffries and a sister, Ernestine Cochran.   She was a member of Big Branch Church and a 1946 graduate of Chesapeake High School.  She was also a member of the St. Mary’s Medical Center Auxiliary, where she was recognized with over 9,500 hours of volunteer service.  Norma is survived by a daughter, Sandy (Ralph) Molter of Beavercreek, OH; a son, Dan (Pam) Jeffries of Chesapeake, OH; a brother, Bill Bridgeman of South Point, OH; five grandchildren, Lisa Kruger, Lori Molter, Ryan (Katie) Molter, Kevin (Amanda) Jeffries and Kristen (Michael) Black; nine great grandchildren, Josh Molter, Ben Holeman, Kenzie Molter, Maggie Molter, Brevin Kruger, Darin Jeffries, Caleb Black, Adalyn Black and Myla Black; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Henderson officiating.  Burial will follow at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH.  Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral Home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
