    Donald Ray Fitzpatrick, Sr. of South Point, OH, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at King’s Daughter’s Medical Center.  He was born November 23, 1938, a son of the late Marcus Fitzpatrick and Nellie Pierce Fitzpatrick.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Fitzpatrick Herdman; two sisters, Helen Stephenson and Jesse Johnson; and three brothers, William L. Fitzpatrick, Paul David Fitzpatrick and Charles Fitzpatrick.  He was the owner of Fitzpatrick Builders and a graduate of South Point High School.  He was of the Baptist faith and recently accepted Christ as his Savior.  Donald is survived by his children, Debra Fitzpatrick, Donald Ray Fitzpatrick, Jr., Rebecca Fitzpatrick, Mary Fitzpatrick Goodall, Kirby Fitzpatrick, Jessica Fitzpatrick and Chad Fitzpatrick; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Wesley, Mandy, Aaron, Trevor, Josh, Ellie, Delila, Hailie, Kailie, Elijah, Courtney, Dani and Brayden; great grandchildren, Emma and Sidney; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; his dog and best friend, Rex; and close friends Tom Brooks, Mike Douglas and Jeanette Calloway.  Funeral Services with military honors will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 10, 2017 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home with Pastor Dewayne Slusher officiating.  Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH.  Friends may call from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
