Larry Jack Plants

Larry Jack Plants, 76, of South Point, OH died Thursday, March 9, 2017 at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, KY.  He was born July 27, 1940 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Lawrence Dale and Ruth Crawford Plants.  He was a veteran of the United State Air Force and retired as a mechanic from Clays Trailer Sales. Larry is survived by his wife, Ramona Fletcher Plants; two sons, Larry Jack (Traci) Plants, II and Alvin “Bub” Plants; three grandchildren, Brittany N. Powell, Chelsi (Joe) Phillips and Ryan (Amanda) Plants; and one great grandchild Zeke Phillips.  A Memorial service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1^st Southern Baptist Church, South Point, OH.  Friends may visit from 12 pm to 1 pm at the church.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home South Point, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Slack and Wallace Funeral Home to help the family with expenses.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
