Marcella Martin

Marcella “Oudie” Martin, 57, of South Point, OH died April 2, 2017 at her mother’s residence.  She was born July 10, 1959.  She was preceded in death by her grandmother Elizabeth Storey, her uncle, Perry Martin and brother Freddie Martin.  Marcella leaves behind to mourn her loss; her mother, Bernice Martin; a daughter Daffiney Carley and son-in-law Michael Carley of Ashland, KY, a daughter, Devin Martin of South Point, OH; 5 grandchildren, Mariah Carley, Bryce Carley, Gabrielle Carley, Jasiah Martin and Amyah Martin; and surviving siblings, Dinia Linthicum and Danny Joe Martin; 6 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews, and a dear friend, Frances Ragland West and her 4 children and 7 grandchildren of Huntington, WV.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.  Viewing begins at 11am, with service following at 12:00 Noon Friday, April 7, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Burlington with Pastor Robert Young officiating and speaker Virgil Johnson.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
