JOSEPH KENT HUFF, 58, of South Point, Ohio died Monday, April 3, 2017  at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  He was an auto mechanic and was preceded in death by his father, Ray Huff; one half-brother Dale Huff, and one nephew, Elijah Huff. He is survived by his mother JoAnn Kates Huff of Chesapeake, OH; daughter, Kristen Huff (Gillian Sochor) of Huntington, WV; sisters, Jill Huff and Jane Huff, both of Chesapeake, OH; one half-sister, Kathy (Bob) Dement of Chesapeake, OH; one brother, Jon Huff; two half-brothers,  Greg (Sheila) Huff both of Chesapeake, OH and Danny Huff of Ironton, OH; nephews, Bryon (Deanna) Huff of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Tanner Huff, of Chesapeake, OH; and one niece, Emma Huff of Chesapeake, OH.  Funeral service will be Friday, April 7, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Pastor Mitch Webb officiating.  Private burial will follow.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral to assist the family with expenses.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
