Lloyd Michael Truesdell

October 11, 1958 - April 22, 2017

Lloyd Michael Truesdell, 58 of South Point, OH died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, KY.  He was born October 11, 1958 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Lloyd and Judith Esther Nicely Truesdell.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Calhoun and Lillie Viars and his maternal grandparents, Ray and Gertrude Nicely.  He was a graduate of South Point High School, a former member of Abundant Life Baptist Church and a retired Correctional Officer from Southern Ohio Correctional Facility.  Lloyd is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael Ray and Hana Truesdell of Greer, SC; three uncles, James Nicely, Terry (Debbie) Nicely and Ray Viars; and one aunt, Carol (Jim) Webb.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Rev. Randy Tait officiating.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.  The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley and Community Hospice.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
