William Edward Schneider

William Edward Schneider, 68 of South Point, OH died Friday, May 5, 2017 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with his nephew, Tony Schneider officiating.  Burial will follow at Getaway Cemetery.  He was born February 15, 1949 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Robert Henry Schneider and Betty Jane Nichols Schneider. He served in the Army Reserves and was a former member of Getaway United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald H. Schneider.  Survivors include two sisters, Wanda Lee Swatman and Connie Sue Thompson; a brother, Jerry Lynn Schneider; a sister-in-law, Joan Schneider; and several nieces and nephews.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
