Glen Church, Sr., 80, of Coal Grove, OH went to be with the Lord Friday, May 22, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Ironton, OH. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Lick Creek Independent Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Dement and Rev. Pat Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton . Glen was born December 22, 1934 in Coal Grove, a son of the late Charles William Church and Nellie Copen Church. He was also preceded in death by 6 sisters, Lee Kimberlin, Mid Tafoya, Ann Miller, Edda Mae Church, Helen Marie Church and Rose Mary Church; and 4 brothers, Donald Edward Church, William Gilbert Church, Danny Ray Church and Ralph Edwin Church. He was retired from McSweeney’s Mill & Mine as an auto mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Ollie E. Bentley Church; four children, Vickie (Brian Young) Church, Lela (Bill) Pemberton, Kay Gullett and Glen (Angie) Church, Jr.; 2 sisters, Dorothy (Virgil) Seagraves and Betty Church; 3 brothers, Gene (Cathy) Church, David (Nancy) Church and Raymond Church; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Slack and Wallace Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
