Joshua Lee “Spanky ” Blake, 17, of Chesapeake, OH, died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. Joshua was born June 5, 1998 in Huntington, WV, a son of Robert Joseph Lee “Bobby” and Jerri Lynn Johnson Blake. He was a student at Collins Career Center. He is also survived by his brothers, Jacob Spencer, Dylan Blake and Michael Bartholomew; a girlfriend, whom he loved very much, Annie Smith; maternal grandparents, Bruce and Sheila Johnson of Chesapeake, OH; maternal great grandparents, Carroll and Wanda Keefer of Chesapeake, OH; paternal grandparents, Richard and Penny Blake of Kenova, WV; paternal grandmother, Diane Shepherd of Kenova, WV; paternal step-grandfather, Leroy Berry of Wayne, WV; nephew, Logan Spencer; aunts, Doris “D.D.” Frazier, Tamara Berry, Michelle Potter, Jessica Berry, Carrie Starkey, Brittany Starkey, Sara Starkey and Tina Tran; uncles, Aaron Johnson, Richard Blake, Jennings “Twig” Berry; special cousins, Zachary, Thomas and William Johnson; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, June 26 , 2015 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Robert Huron officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service.
