David Bruce

David Bruce, 71, of Ironton, OH, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at Jo-Lin Health Center, Ironton, OH.  He was born September 20, 1943 a son of the late Harold and Goldie Steed Bruce.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Don Bruce.  He graduated from Dawson Bryant High School, served in the Army National Guard, was a retired employee for AK Steel and a member of Jeffersonville Missionary Baptist Church of Coal Grove, OH.  David is survived by his wife of 29 years, Beverly Jenkins Bruce; two sons, Paul Bruce and Dean Bruce; two grandchildren, Annika Bruce and Alec Bruce; a sister, Sharon (Terry) Thomas of Chicago, IL; and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Brother Ed Gullett officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service.   Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
