Donald Arden Barker

Donald Arden Barker, 77, of Chesapeake, OH died Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV.  He was born April 30, 1938 in Logan County, WV, a son of the late Enoch and Hazel Franklin Barker.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Barker; his first wife, Patricia Marchinkoskie; and a brother, Larry Barker.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and a retired employee of the U S Gov’t.  He is survived by three daughters, Helen Barker of SC, Catherine Barker of Essex Junction, VT and Debbie (Jeff) Brown of Lorton, VA; a sister, Linda (Butch) Gillette of Chesapeake, OH; a brother, Jerry (Betty) Barker of Proctorville, OH; four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.   Private family services with military honors will be held.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.  www.slackandwallace.com.
