Derek Clark

Derek C. Clark, 33, of South Point, OH passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at his residence.  He was born October 8, 1981 in Ironton, OH, son of Michael D. and Angela D. Moore Clark.  Derek graduated from Berne Union High School in Sugar Grove, OH and Collins Career Center as an Electrician.  He was a former employee of Big Sandy Superstore.  He is survived by his wife, Alicia Ann Mason Clark; son, Carson James Clark; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Ann Moore of South Point, OH; brother, Zachary Clark of South Point, OH; and very best friend, Jay Solenbarger of Lancaster, OH.  Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Pastor Paul Michael Booth officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Carson Clark College Fund c/o Wesbanco 404 Solida Road, South Point, OH 45680.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
