Lucian R. Carter

August 3, 1933 - September 24, 2015

Lucian R. Carter, 82, of Chesapeake, OH passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV.  Lucian was born August 3, 1933 in Logan County, WV a son of the late Conrad and Dixie M. Damron Carter.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Gina Beth Carter; sister, Willa Jean Maynard; and two brothers, Conrad Carter, Jr. and Vinson D. Carter.  Lucian was a member of 26^th Street Church of Christ, a member of Proctorville Masonic Lodge #550 and Veteran of the US Marines.  He was an avid Marshall fan.  He is survived by his wife, Charlotte L. Drake Carter; sister, Kathryn Davidson of Chesapeake, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Private family services will be conducted at a later date.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
