    Mellicenia “Faye” Breeden, 76, of South Point, OH, widow of James Breeden passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 in South Point.  Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, Ohio with Pastor Paul Bartrum officiating.  Graveside services will follow at 1 PM at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, WV.  Mellicenia was born February 23, 1939 in Giles, WV, a daughter of the late Edd and Thelma Hicks McCarty.  Faye was a retired custodian for DuPont High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Breeden; a daughter, Rita Parker; sister, Sis Buttrick; and a brother Ernest McCarty.  She is survived by two sons, Rick Winters and Roger (Brenda) Winters both of South Point, OH; three step children, Melody Breeden Williams, Wesley Breeden and Kelly Breeden; two sisters, Jewell (Danny) Skaggs of West Jefferson, OH; Brenda (Tom) Pitchford of Jenkinsburg, GA; three brothers, Harold (Gloria) McCarty of Lakewood, OH; Tom (Karen) Withrow of Flatwoods, KY; and Jimmy Wren of FL; 5 grandchildren, Candy Goldie, Earl Lynd, Josh Parker, Jacob Parker and Tonya Winters; several great grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Lindy Buttrick of Cedar Grove, WV.  Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
