Nancy Dora Bartrum

February 6, 1934 - December 3, 2015

Nancy Dora Bartrum, 81 of South Point, OH passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, KY.  Nancy was born February 6, 1934 in Lawrence County, OH, a daughter of the late Oscar Milton and Rosalea Freeman Carey.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Carey, Robert Carey; and one sister, Patsy Waller.  She was a graduate of South Point High School. She was involved with her husband in the family contracting business and a very active member of Main Street Freewill Baptist Church, Coal Grove, OH.  Nancy is survived by her husband, Paul Edward Bartrum; children, Iva Rosalea (James R.) Terry of Chesapeake, OH, Ronald Edward Bartrum of Bartrum of Paintsville, KY and Reanita Ann (Donald) Hanshaw of Lucasville, OH; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and a large church family whom she loved very much.     Funeral services will be 11 AM, Sunday, December 6, 2016 at Main Street Freewill Baptist Church, Coal Grove, OH with Pastor Donnie Spurlock, Pastor Dale Henson, Pastor Michael Dray and Pastor Ryan Rogers officiating. Friends may call at the church Sunday from 9 AM to 11 AM.   Graveside services will be 1 PM Monday, December 7, 2015 at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
