Lula Jane Burchett

February 3, 1919 - December 28, 2015

Lula Jane Burchett, 96, of Ironton, OH passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at Heartland of Riverview.  She was born February 3, 1919 in Floyd County, KY, a daughter of the late Bob and Lora Sester Clark.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie L. Burchett; 1 sister, Charity Kendrick and 3 brothers, Grady Clark, Gooden Clark and Beckum Clark.  Lula was retired as a seamstress. Survivors include a daughter, Raymona Kay (George) Spears; 3 grandchildren, George (Lori) Spears, Jr., Joe Spears and Johnda (Jeff) Perkey; and 4 great grandchildren, Brandon Spears, Jason Spears, Matthew Perkey and Carli Jo Spears.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Henry officiating.  Burial will follow in Ice Creek Cemetery, Deering, OH.  Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Condolences may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
