    Richard “Dickie” Harold Reiter, 70, of South Point, OH went home to his loving Savior on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, KY.  He was born August 4, 1945 in Allentown, PA to Forrest and Vivian Reiter.  He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Freddie (Amthor), who was killed in the Korean War.  Survivors include his wife, Shirley of South Point; a son, David Reiter of South Point; a brother, Forrest (Susan) of Pennsburg, PA; a sister, Sally Shepherd of Angola, IN; many nieces and nephews who loved him very much; a brother-in-law, Gary (Janice) Criswell of South Point; mother-in-law, Maybell Criswell of South Point; step-children, Jim (Lora) Shepherd, Joey (Chrystal) Shepherd, all of Willow Wood, OH and Jeremiah Johnson of Ashland, KY; step-grandchildren, Corey (Krista) Shepherd of Lima, OH, (Nathan) Zephrah Hall of KY, James Shepherd, Jamie Miller of Caldwell, OH, Ciarra (Marti) Coy and granddaughters, Tasha, Amber Pointer; great grandchildren, Cas Coy, Lochlan Pointer and three little angels, Amillia, Ariel and Dusti.  After serving in the United States Army, Dickie worked for Good Year as a Master Mechanic.  He retired from the Angola, Auburn and Avilla (Indiana) Distributor after 25 years.  Prior to moving to South Point, OH, Dickie was a member of the Orland Methodist Church.  Dickie had a deep love for his family and friends and was especially close to his sister Sally.  He enjoyed gardening, travelling with his wife, Shirley and enjoyed spending time outside.  Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH.  Burial will take place at Flag Springs Cemetery, Patriot, OH with Military Honors.  Friends may call from 12 PM to 1:30 PM Saturday before the service.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Pallbearers will be Jim Shepherd, Joey Shepherd, Jeremiah Johnson, Ray Shepherd, Michael Shepherd and Dustin Shepherd; Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Criswell and Jaye Criswell.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
